Privacy Policy
The short version. Everything you enter into UNDERPRESSURE stays on your iPhone. The app has no account system, no servers of its own, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party software development kits. We — the developer — never receive your readings, and we cannot see them.
1. What the app stores, and where
UNDERPRESSURE stores the following on your device only, in the app's private database:
- Blood pressure readings (systolic, diastolic, pulse, time, and whether you typed them or they came from Apple Health)
- Daily context you choose to record (sleep, training load, sodium, alcohol, stress)
- Which protocol items you completed each day, and the lever rankings computed from that
- Your onboarding answers (goal, training profile, alcohol intake, whether you take blood pressure medication, medication names you enter)
- Reminder preferences
The app does not upload any of this. There is no UNDERPRESSURE account and no UNDERPRESSURE server.
2. Apple Health
If you grant permission, UNDERPRESSURE reads blood pressure and heart rate from Apple Health to pre-fill a check-in with a recent cuff reading (for example one synced by a Withings or Omron device). Reading is optional; the app works fully with manual entry. UNDERPRESSURE never writes to Apple Health. Health data is used only inside the app on your device and is never sent anywhere.
3. iCloud
UNDERPRESSURE does not sync your data to iCloud or between devices. Your device's own iCloud Backup or computer backup may include the app's database as part of a full-device backup, according to your Apple Account settings — that is a feature of iOS you control, not something the app does.
4. Home-screen widget
The widget shows your latest reading. It reads a small snapshot (last reading and its time) from a shared container on your device. Nothing leaves the device.
5. Notifications
The optional morning check-in reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. No push notification service is used.
6. Subscriptions and payments
UNDERPRESSURE Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and holds your billing details; we never see them. The app checks your subscription status with Apple's StoreKit on the device. Apple may share aggregate, non-identifying sales reports with us. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
7. Analytics, tracking, and advertising
None. The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or attribution software, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not track you across apps or websites. The App Store privacy label for UNDERPRESSURE is "Data Not Collected".
8. This website
underpressure.suur.io is a set of static files served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may log requests (such as your IP address) for security and operation of its network; we do not run analytics on this site, load no third-party scripts, and set no cookies.
9. Deleting your data
You can delete individual readings inside the app (Dashboard → reading history). Deleting the app removes its database and every reading, answer, and preference in it. Because nothing is stored on our side, there is nothing for us to delete or export on your behalf — and nothing we could hand to anyone else.
10. Children
UNDERPRESSURE is intended for adults managing elevated blood pressure. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — of any age.
11. Changes
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled (for example if an optional cloud feature is added), this policy will be updated first, the effective date above will change, and the app's privacy label on the App Store will be updated to match.
Not medical advice. UNDERPRESSURE is a wellness and tracking app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. Talk to your physician before changing anything about your health routine, and never change or stop a prescribed medication because of a reading or ranking in the app.
