UNDERPRESSURE
Terms of Service
By downloading or using UNDERPRESSURE (the "app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What UNDERPRESSURE is
UNDERPRESSURE is a wellness app for adults who want to track their blood pressure and follow a structured 30-day routine of lifestyle habits — exercise, breathing, sleep, sodium, alcohol, and a reference list of supplements — drawn from published research. It logs readings you enter or that Apple Health provides, and it shows you how your own readings relate to what you did.
Not a medical device. Not medical advice. The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and nothing in it — protocol items, supplement doses, rankings, trends, or reminders — is medical advice or a substitute for care from a licensed clinician. Talk to your physician before starting the protocol, especially if you take blood pressure medication or any other prescription drug. Never change or stop a prescribed medication because of anything in the app. If a reading is 180/120 or higher, or you have symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness, or vision or speech changes, seek medical care immediately.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of readings you enter and for using a validated cuff according to its instructions.
- You must be an adult (18 or older, or the age of majority where you live) to use the app.
- Use the app only as permitted by law and by Apple's App Store terms.
3. Free features and UNDERPRESSURE Pro
Blood pressure logging, trends, reading history, and the home-screen widget are free. UNDERPRESSURE Pro unlocks the 30-day protocol engine, daily action items, lever rankings, correlation analysis, longer trend history, the isometric timer, guided breathing, and the reference supplement stack. Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store:
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy and are charged to your Apple Account.
- When offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- Payment, refunds, and billing disputes are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; we cannot issue refunds directly.
- If you stop subscribing during a protocol, the protocol pauses at the current day and resumes where it left off when you subscribe again. Your readings and history remain available for free.
Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app, and these terms add to it.
4. Your data
Your data stays on your device; see the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for backing up your device. Deleting the app deletes its data.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, protocol content, and this website are owned by the developer and protected by copyright. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute it except as permitted by law.
6. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Research summaries in the app reflect published literature at the time of writing and may become outdated.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, health outcome, or decision made in reliance on the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes to the app or these terms
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes to the terms will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to another forum.
